Capturing the Natural Beauty of Burnaby Mountain

Calling all nature lovers! The City Archives is thrilled to announce that a new collection of photographs highlighting the diverse ecology of Burnaby Mountain is now available online via Heritage Burnaby. These beautiful images originate from the Burnaby Mountain Preservation Society and their years-long campaign to preserve the natural ecology of Burnaby Mountain, resulting in the 1996 dedication of Burnaby Mountain as park land.

Do you know the difference between a deer shield and a deadly skullcap? The fungi need your help! Please reach out to the City Archives if you can identify the mushrooms in the photographs, as well as any flora or fauna that may be misidentified or unidentified. Contact us by email archives@burnaby.ca.
